Welcome to St Nicholas on Trinity 7 Sunday 23rd July.

The Gospel reading for this Sunday is Matthew 13.1-9,18-23.

In this week’s Gospel passage, Jesus tells a parable about the kingdom of God, and provides its explanation: that evil and its agents in the world will persist alongside the good, despite the coming of the kingdom of God that Jesus was proclaiming.

Jesus gives us another seed-related story to help us think about the difficulties and struggles we endure while seeking to live as God intends us to. Through it we have our gaze lifted to contemplate God’s power and are reminded that God is worthy of our trust. How can we explore trusting God in all circumstances?  (copyright@Roots)
